Dietitian

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Dietitian to join our dynamic team in a virtual setting. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nutrition therapy to individuals, focusing on various issues with a weight-neutral lens. This role requires adherence to HIPAA regulations and a commitment to maintaining the confidentiality and dignity of all clients. The Dietitian will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct initial and follow-up nutrition assessments, implement interventions and the personalized nutrition plan of care.

  • Counsel clients on a variety of nutrition issues using a weight-neutral lens.

  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team on treatment planning and to provide integrated care for clients. 

  • Utilize evidence-based practices in nutrition therapy to facilitate healing and recovery. 

  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation and coding as per clinic standards. 

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations in all aspects of client care and documentation. 

  • Stay informed about current best practices in nutrition counseling and participate in ongoing professional development.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in dietetics, nutrition, or a closely related field.

  • Maintains a registered dietitian license.

  • Experience working with individuals in all body sizes and utilize a Health at Every Size (HAES)© and weight-neutral approach.

  • Comprehensive knowledge and training in the delivery of nutrition therapy via telehealth.

  • Abides by the code of ethics subscribed to by the respective licensing organization.

  • Access to a computer with video and audio capabilities and have skills in basic problem-solving related to technology issues.

  • Experience in eating disorders is preferred.

  • Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and commitment to confidentiality.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

  • Proficiency in coding for mental health services is a plus.

  • Previous experience working in a hospital or outpatient clinic setting is desirable.
